Goodwood Festival of Speed

In July, we transported a number of vehicles for our client, and delivered them to Goodwood Festival of Speed, using both our multi-car and enclosed vehicle transporters. This haulage required time precision to ensure that all vehicles were collected from the client and transported in time for the event.

What did the client need?

The Festival of Speed is a huge event in the automotive calendar, with many car enthusiasts attending the event each year. Therefore, the client required reliable and precise collections and deliveries, to ensure their part in the event ran smoothly and on time.

Our client needed vehicles transporting for their stand at the motorsport event, which was set up like a mini car dealership. The cars at this stand would be static display vehicles and needed to be carefully transported to ensure they arrived in perfect showroom condition.

The client also held a Ride & Drive on the track at Goodwood, for which they needed multiple Jaguar E-Types transporting to the Festival of Speed.

How did we support the client?

As the event was very time specific, the client decided to work with us because of our reliability. We have worked with this client frequently and have always collected their vehicles at the necessary time (even if this requires working outside of our usual hours!). Also, depending on the vehicle’s purpose at the event, we hauled the cars on either our multi-car or enclosed vehicle transporters.

The display vehicles for our client’s stand needed to be transported carefully to maintain their showroom condition. We transported these on our enclosed vehicle transporters, guaranteeing protection from harsh weather conditions and any impact from the roads. Before carefully loading the vehicles onto the trailer, our experienced enclosed vehicle drivers also carried out full vehicle inspections.

The Jaguar E-Types for the Ride & Drive were delivered using our multi-car transporter. Not only was there a large volume of cars, but the mini event also involved drifting these cars around the Hillclimb track, and therefore the client didn’t require enclosed vehicle transporters to move these.
